Basic package includes
maternity session and birth.
Maternity- 45 minute session with a minimum of 15 edited images.
Birth- Photography coverage of your labor, delivery, & first moments with your baby. Photographer will be on call from 37 weeks until your baby is ready for their debut!
Fresh 48- One hour of session time post delivery. This hour can occur anytime following delivery up to 48 hours after delivery. You will receive a minimum of 20 edited images.
Newborn- 1 hour and 30 minute session with a minimum of 20 edited images.
Why hire a birth photographer?
I truly believe in capturing those special moments in your life that you only get to live once in your life. Now, you will always have something to look back on. Lets be real, your wedding day there is so much going on that the big day turns into a big blur. The same thing happens with the birth of your child. In the whirlwind of contractions and experiencing your new baby its easy to forget those little details of such an amazing day. That's why you hire me, you will get to relive that special day through photos!
When should I book you?
ASAP. If you are pregnant and considering hiring a birth photographer, book me as soon as possible! I need to put you into my calendar sooner rather than later. I only accept one birth a month because I don't want to chance bumping into another birth! All I need is a deposit to secure your spot.
What if I have a C-section?
The decision of having more than one person in the OR is completely up to the hospital and I have to follow all of the hospitals guidelines. That does not at all mean we will not get amazing pictures of your birth! Whether your C-section is planned/unplanned I provide you images before you give birth and waiting there for you after you are done. If I'm allowed to wait with your support partner, I will also capture the unseen moments as part of your birth as well! My goal is to make you feel like you didn't miss a thing!
How do I receive my images and do you share them on social media?
You will receive your images on a personalized flash drive. I will post a sneak peak following your session on our first moments photography page but will not post anything without your consent and will be mindful not to post any graphic images.
How can I trust you and feel comfortable with you at my birth when you're just a stranger?
Let's be honest if you are birthing in a hospital there will be so many people coming in and out of your room that you won't notice that extra stranger! You'll be to busy in the moment of contractions and meeting your new baby that you won't even know or care that I'm there! My goal is that no one in your birthing room including your family/doctors know I'm there taking pictures. I'll be quiet and observant making sure I capture every little detail for you! My hope is that we can get a chance before your birth to get to know each other a little more. This way I feel less of a stranger and more of a friend! This is exactly why I offer a maternity session with each package. This will allow us that time to get to know each other a bit more.
What happens if I go into labor in the middle of the night?
I go on call generally around the time you're 37 weeks, I will ask you to keep me updated even if you THINK you're in labor because it's better to be safe than sorry. I will ask to have you or your partner to text/call me when you're in active labor. This way it's no surprise when I'm jumping out of bed at 1am to meet you guys at the hospital! This is my lifestyle, something I choose to do. Don't you worry about me this is part of my job!
I'm not sure I want a photographer capturing my labor but I want pictures of my babies first moments, do you offer this?
YES! This is what we consider fresh 48 sessions and we gladly offer them as well contact us for more info!
